This August, Luya International School's summer program went beyond the classroom, bringing its passion and energy to the Linkou Sports Center. As part of the Global Scholars Summer Program, the school offered dedicated sports courses, allowing students to hone their reaction speed, focus, and tactical thinking through table tennis and squash, allowing them to find their own rhythm and breakthroughs between swinging and sprinting.

In table tennis class, a small white ball zips back and forth across the table. Students, with focused eyes and nimble movements, alternately defend and attack. The fast pace of table tennis not only cultivates hand-eye coordination and split-second judgment, but also teaches students to think calmly and execute precise shots during matches. Whether beginners or established players, each finds motivation and joy in the class.

Squash class is a dual challenge of speed and endurance. Students run at full speed around a closed court, swinging their rackets rapidly, chasing the bouncing ball. The intense competition not only tests agility and explosive power, but also allows students to deeply understand the importance of strategic planning—when to attack, when to defend, and how to utilize the wall for dynamic play—all require instant judgment and flexible response. Many students exclaimed after class, "Although it's tiring, it's so exciting!"

The school stated that incorporating sports courses into the summer learning program is intended to help students develop a healthy body and a positive attitude in addition to academics. Table tennis and squash not only promote physical coordination but also stimulate thinking and adaptability. Students learn not only skills but also the confidence and perseverance to face challenges.
